Isis wins BCSE Award
19 Jul 2011

For the second year in a row, Isis, has been named Supplier of the Year at the British Council for School Environments (BCSE) Awards 2011.  The purpose of the awards is to recognise excellence in design across the spectrum of education.

Isis, who are part of RM Education, won the award in recognition of the design and delivery of learning spaces that were uniquely tailored to meet some very specific briefs;

- an open plan learning space to help deliver Twickenham Academy's highly individualised Kunskapsskolan curriculum; and

- agile classrooms for Yew Tree Primary who wanted to enhance the opportunities for collaboration between pupils of different ages in groups both large and small.

James Clarke, Head of Consultancy at Isis said, "It's fantastic to be recognised in this way, especially two years in a row! What's interesting is that both of the projects in our award entry were refurbishments within existing buildings, which demonstrates that you don't need a brand new building to redefine your learning spaces."
