RMT Announcement 7th October 2005.
RM Education plc confirms that it is withdrawing from the CAD market and ceasing its RM Technology business. RMT has been a small part of the overall RM Group for a number of years, delivering high-end CAD and non-educational systems through a number of resellers. The decision has been made to concentrate on RM's core educational business, supplying ICT software, systems and services to schools, colleges and universities.
RM will continue to take orders until the 23rd December 2005.

Why have RM chosen to close the RMT business? The RMT business diverges from RM's core education strategy. The decision to close the RMT business has been made to allow the business to focus solely on education.
When is the last date I can place an order with RM? Friday 23rd December 2005.
What warranty will be available after the RMT business is closed? All warranty arrangements in place at 23rd December 2005 will be honoured.
Will the support process change? No, support for equipment covered under existing warranty/contract agreements will continue to be supported as now. Once this cover expires support will no longer be available from RM. Premier Support on 01235 826819.
Can I continue to purchase spare parts and upgrades as now? Yes, there is no change to the process for buying spares. These continue to be available as now through the RM Direct business.
