RM PLC: APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD

RM plc announces the appointment of Mr David Brooks as Chief Operating Officer and a Director of RM plc, with effect from 1 July 2012.

David Brooks (43) originally joined RM as a graduate and has gained extensive experience in the education sector across many parts of the RM Group. Most recently, he has been the Managing Director of the Education Software Division which has undergone significant restructuring and repositioning following the Company's strategic review in September 2011.

Through this process, and the development of a number of new initiatives which RM will be launching later this year, Mr Brooks has worked closely with Martyn Ratcliffe, Executive Chairman. The Board considers that Mr Ratcliffe and Mr Brooks provide the right combination of skills and experience to lead RM through the next phase of the Group's evolution
