SummaryInformation on how to maximise the performance of RM EasyMail Plus by ensuring systems meet the minimum browser requirements.

Requirements

RM EasyMail Plus recommended web browsers

The two recommended web browsers for use with RM EasyMail Plus are Windows® Internet Explorer® and Mozilla® Firefox®.

  • The domain administration website is only accessible using Internet Explorer.
  • Older versions of these browsers, e.g. IE6, will not be optimized for newer technologies such as Ajax used by RM EasyMail Plus and so may perform slower.

We focus our testing on the most popular browsers for our users; these are currently Firefox 8, Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9. As and when other browsers grow in popularity, we will be fully testing them with RM EasyMail Plus.

Internet Explorer

  • Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9 are fully supported by RM EasyMail Plus.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Firefox 7 and 8 are fully supported by RM EasyMail Plus on Microsoft® Windows® and Mac OS® operating systems.
  • Firefox 7 and 8 are not supported for use with RM EasyMail Plus on Linux operating systems, i.e. Ubuntu, openSUSE, Fedora, Debian, Mandriva, CentOS, etc.

Other web browsers

  • No other web browsers are supported by RM for use with RM EasyMail Plus.
  • Mac users: Tests have shown that Safari - while unsupported - may offer an alternative to Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers.

Mobile/PDA users

  • Internet Explorer Mobile is not a supported web browser for RM EasyMail Plus.
  • The WAP/mobile/PDA access is turned on for RM EasyMail Plus, but has not been validated or developed in any way by RM. Therefore, users can use this functionality, but RM is unable to offer any support for it.
  • IMAP or POP3 clients on these platforms may offer a better experience.
