Today saw the first ever "BETT International Day", and as a bit of a warm up to the main event tomorrow, I've asked Erin Woods, Marketing Executive for RM Asia-Pacific, to reflect on the day.
"I landed at Heathrow Airport from Sydney at 6 am last Sunday morning full of excitement and nervousness at the thought of working at BETT 11 (only the largest education technology exhibition in the world!) and meeting our customers and colleagues from around the world. Even the miserable weather couldn't dampen my spirits, or in that case, the expected jibes on our performance in the cricket [If you're a UK customer, feel free to post a comment to Erin!- Editor].
And today, in perfect sync, the jet lag wore off and the show officially began. What an eye-opener. The team was in full swing hosting the first-ever BETT International Day, which saw us meet hundreds of leaders from across the globe and engage in lively debate about real life case studies and best practice education. Today's visitors were also lucky enough to be the first to experience the brand new RM Learning Emporium in O2 – a space to take a step back and reflect on what learning is like in your School and experience the latest educational technology inspiring local school children.
But the show must go on and it will until Saturday; so please come and visit us at the main stand (Stands C60, D60 and E60) or if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main BETT Show, visit us at the RM Learning Emporium in O2. We'd love to see you. Erin"
As Erin said, we tested out the brand new RM Learning Emporium today, which you can see from the sneak preview photos below was packed with kids inspired and engaged in learning. Remember, it's open from Wednesday through Friday this week so do come and join us.
The photos below illustrate just some of the highlights: the Immersive room, LEGO Education, our Radio Station, a Sensory room and the Vertable Interactive.
