| RM, the international education company has opened an office in Abu Dhabi. The Oxford based RM has been expanding its
business interests in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia over recent months
and has chosen Abu Dhabi as the ideal base from where to base its growing
business in the region.
RM grew out of supplying research
equipment to Oxford
University. To this
day still has links with the city as its headquarters are nearby. RM is unique
in that no other company has its range of products for schools and colleges.
And although RM supplies everything from furniture specifically designed for
the classroom to nationwide intranets and managed services it always has
learning at its soul. RM's about bringing to education the products and
services that help teachers deliver those inspiring, great learning moments
that pupils find memorable and engaging, and so achieve even greater learning. RM's recent success at the GESS
exhibition (Gulf Educational Supplies Show), in Dubai,
has reconfirmed its view of the opportunity in the Middle
East and has encouraged it to move forward with its expansion
plans. Terry Sweeney, chief executive
office of RM said, 'these are exciting times for us. Governments around the
globe are acknowledging that education is the way to secure not only their
nation's future and security but also that of its people. In an increasingly
competitive environment the countries that invest in the intellectual capital
of their young people will be the leaders of the future global economy. In this
region it is obvious that education investment is a government priority and at
RM we are delighted to be working alongside our partners to help them improve
the life chances of school children and students'.
