Kirklees Council pilot the new generation of School MIS
13 Jul 2006

Kirklees Council today announced the pilot of a new centrally hosted and web-delivered primary school MIS.

IntegrisG2, the new offering from leading ICT supplier RM, was launched at BETT earlier this year.  It is based on RM's Integris, the number two MIS in the UK today and in use in around 5000 schools worldwide.

This next generation MIS system is a centrally hosted and web-delivered solution that offers access to school information from the classroom, office or home for teachers, pupils and their parents.

On the decision to adopt, Karen Margis, Principal ICT Development Officer at Kirklees Council, commented:

"We aim to deliver the best educational IT solutions to Kirklees schools and IntegrisG2 offers our schools significant advantages over other primary MIS systems.  Following demonstration of IntegrisG2, more than 50% of our Primary Schools were keen to pilot the new software".

"We now have IntegrisG2 live in our pilot schools and the performance to date has exceeded expectations."

Nigel Rayner at RM adds:

"We're delighted that Kirklees Council has chosen IntegrisG2.  As it is web-delivered, it removes the need for schools to perform back-ups or apply any software updates.  And being centrally hosted, IntegrisG2 allows MIS data to be accessed and shared more easily and quickly by various stakeholders in education, including parents and local government agencies.  As a result, IntegrisG2 can help educational establishments address some of the practical implementations of government initiatives such as Every Child Matters."
