Overview:
This document covers what you need to do to connect an Cisco Router 1605 to an RM SchoolShare System or Peer-2-Peer network.

Important
These instructions are based on setting up the Cisco Router 1605. If your router does not look like the picture below contact RM Support
Do no try to set up the router until you have read the Release Note in the box
This document describes the connections that should be made to set up hubs and standalone computers to the router. (Note: a maximum of two hubs, or one hub and one standalone computer, can be connected using this router).
You must connect the appropriate part of your system to either the ETHERNET 0 or ETHERNET 1 socket on the back of the router. This is detailed for your system in the configuration leaflet included with your router.
You must connect the appropriate coloured cable as indicated in this document as shown below otherwise you could damage the router
Make the connections to your router, hub and ISDN line as shown in the diagram below:
If you wish to connect a standalone computer to your router, make the connections as shown below (using the grey ETHXOVER cable included in the router pack).
