This course is ideal for teachers and ICT coordinators who wish to make better use of Easiteach® and interactive whiteboards for teaching.

No previous experience of interactive whiteboards or Easiteach is required, although basic computer use will help.

The key objective of this course is to help teachers and ICT coordinators create exciting, flexible and interactive lessons that engage and motivate the whole class.

At the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

• Use and make the most of Easiteach tools.
• Add interactivity to Easiteach.
• Explore Easiteach subject specific tools.
• Discover content packs linked to the curriculum.
• Understand the whiteboard and projector set-up.
• Employ troubleshooting tips in the classroom. 

GETTING STARTED

• Overview of the key components involved in teaching with an Interactive Whiteboard.
• Setting up all of the equipment involved.

AN INTRODUCTION TO EASITEACH

• Whiteboard software and Easiteach.
• An overview of the Easiteach family of products.

EASITEACH CORE TOOLS

• Using the core Easiteach tools, such as adding text, pictures and sounds.
• Using in-built features to make your Easiteach screens suitable for interactive use in lessons.

EASITEACH ADVANCED TOOLS

• Using the advanced Easiteach tools, such as animation, to help attract and maintain students attention.
• Practicing using the advanced tools to create screens for individual topics or entire lessons.

EASITEACH TOOLSET PLUG-INS AND CONTENT PACKS

• Learning more about the curriculum specific toolsets and content packs available for use within the Easiteach family.
• Practicing using the toolsets you are most interested in.

HEALTH, SAFETY, CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Guidance on the Health and Safety aspects of using interactive whiteboards and projectors.
• The need for care and maintenance of your equipment

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Best practice methods for avoiding problems occurring with your whiteboard equipment.
• Understanding the troubleshooting techniques required to quickly diagnose the problems that can occur.
