Things to consider when choosing a technician
A good place to start when choosing a technician is to check the list of local technicians registered above, but you should also think about the following:
- How much technician time will I need per day/ week?
- How often will the technician visit my school?
- What happens if there is an issue outside of those times?
- Has the technician received relevant training to support my network?
- Are they supporting other schools? Can they provide references from their other customers?
- Is there an opportunity to buy more time on site when needed?
How to sign up
If you have a technician who has yet to register with the scheme then please refer them to the section above that gives them details of the scheme and how to apply.
Once your technician has joined the scheme, if they have not already done so, they have the opportunity to certify their skills by taking the RM Certified Network Technician examination. On successfully passing the examination they will become fully affiliated members. This will then entitle any school supported by them to a reduced price Community Connect 3 support contract.
Once your technician has become affiliated and registered you as a supported school with RM, any current support contracts will automatically be migrated and refunded where necessary. If you are not a current contract holder please contact the primary sales team quoting your technicians RM customer ID number*.
