Why buy online?

There are many reasons to buy online with RM, with 24/7 convenience and exclusive online discounts, buying online is the easiest way to get your order from us to you.

We also offer a pay by invoice service for non-state-funded establishments or registered charities who have an online account with us. If you need further approval to buy products, then you can save a quote and place the order up to 30 days later.

Don't forget, if you're not happy with anything you've bought from us, you can return it to us for an exchange or a refund.

If you represent a registered, non-state-funded educational establishment, or a registered charity, you may be able to order your goods online and receive an invoice for payment later.

If you do not already have an rm.com login, please register.

We've always worked hard to make sure that your online shopping experience with RM is safe and secure and we never stop looking for ways of making it even better.

That's why we're introducing Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode for our credit and debit card customer payments.

You may already be using these services when you shop online. If so, just enter your usual password to complete your payment.

If, however, these services are new to you, just follow the simple instructions when you are asked to register.

We understand that you might not be entirely comfortable, so don't forget that you can always register on your own bank or card issuer's website, or on the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode sites.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us within 28 days of receipt of the item. However, it must be in its original condition, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid.

To do this, please use our online returns process to request the return. Depending on the circumstances of the return, the return of goods may be at your own expense.

Please note that we can only accept the return of opened items if one of the following has happened:

  • The item arrived damaged
  • The item is defective, or
  • We sent you the wrong item

Note: in the event of RM sending you a replacement for a damaged, defective or incorrect item, you must return the original item to RM within 28 days of receiving the replacement item. Provided you return this item to us within the 28 days, you will have nothing more to pay.

If you do not return the original item to us by the end of the 28 day period, we reserve the right to charge an amount equal to the price of your original order to the payment card you used for the order.

If you need authorisation from someone before placing an order but you still want to benefit from online discounts, just click "Create a Quote" in the shopping basket.

Your Quote will be stored in my account for 30 days, simply add it to the basket and checkout as normal.

You can also use Quotes to save the contents of your basket. This means you can return to the website within 30 days to place your order, without having to go through the process of finding all your items again.

Orders and Quotes

Where are my orders and quotes kept?

All orders and quotes are kept in my account. My Account gives you an easy online gateway into RM's information systems, giving you a great opportunity to keep up to date with the current activity between your establishment and RM, as well as making use of archived information. Find out more about my account.

Where are the products?

Just go to your appropriate sector (e.g. Primary) via the home page and the catalogue is displayed on the right-hand side.

Are you sure it's easy to use?

Yes! We have a thorough help section and if you haven't already registered, you can get started now. It's completely free to register and only takes a few minutes.

Delivery and Returns

What do I do if there's a problem with my order/an item is missing?

Please remember to check that what you have received matches the dispatch note before signing for a delivery by courier and make sure that the items are not being delivered separately.

You are under no obligation to accept delivery if you are unhappy for whatever reason. We ask that you notify us of any other issues within 5 days.

Call RM Order management on 01235 826930 for further assistance. Please note that any missing items must be notified to RM within 28 days of order receipt.

Can I get proof of delivery for my order?

You can obtain proof of delivery (POD) for all hardware and software goods, within days of their despatch. If goods have been sent with either Business Post or Parceline, then PODs can be obtained by clicking on the POD icon on your RM.com order detail page within my account .

Alternatively, and for other carriers, PODs can be obtained by calling the RM General Enquiries line on 08450 700300 and asking for Order Management.
