The Classroom Experiment

You don't need a shiny new building to transform your learning spaces. And to prove it, RM Isis worked with the British Council for School Environments' (BCSE) Big School Makeover again this year.

We took one classroom at Hertswood School in Borehamwood and, after refurbishment and redecoration by contractor Willmott Dixon, kitted it out with our signature RM Isis agile classroom; T41 tables with Newton chairs, a VerTable™ Interactive and two Flipscreens.

The new classroom formed part of the new documentary, The Classroom Experiment, which was screened on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th September on BBC2.  In the programme, Professor Dylan Wiliam tries different methods of teaching to see how they affect attainment.  The new classroom is used to assess the role environment plays in successful teaching and learning.  Professor Wiliam described the revamped classroom as 'a sanctuary'.
