Additional Information

Licences

Flexible licensing permits you to tailor the implementation to suit your needs.

Permanent user licences - choose the desired number of licences for your school.

Permanent site licence - allowing you to permanently install SuccessMaker Enterprise on as many computers as you choose in your school and providing you with complete flexibility of use. You can buy a permanent site licence straight off or accrue individual user licences to attain site-wide eligibility.

Annual right-to-use licence - enabling you to install and use the software on as many computers as you like in your school on a yearly basis.

The price will depend on the exact solution you choose for your school; our sales consultants will be able to advise you on 08450 700300. However, as an example, our secondary school basic start-up package provides 5 secondary school solution licences, 1 day network installation, 2 days on-site training and a one-year support contract for just £6,250. Licences are all eligible for purchase using eLCs.

Installation

Network installation is provided via an RM Engineer and is part of the overall service package that is designed, alongside training and support, to set your school up for successful on-going implementation.

Following initial installation, schools can often apply updates themselves (e.g. conversion from SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.0 to 1.3) and, provided they have a valid support contract, will be supported by the RM technical team. Support contract holders can also be advised on the migration of SuccessMaker Enterprise between servers as school networks evolve.

Training

Training is essential to be able to effectively use SuccessMaker Enterprise. This is provided by our team of Educational Consultants who are all former teachers and who have wide experience of SuccessMaker use.

Training covers both the functional aspects of using SuccessMaker Enterprise and the implementation considerations for your school. The training is delivered at your school and will be tailored to meet your implementation objectives.

Support

Educational and technical support is offered on an annual basis to give on-going guidance on the classroom use and technical deployment of SuccessMaker.

As your use of SuccessMaker develops, you may well wish to extend the range of courses that you use; Educational Consultants are available to guide you on suitability of all the courses to curriculum and student needs. As your network environment evolves, our technical experts can support your installation to ensure you offer the best access to SuccessMaker for your students. In addition to telephone support, RM also offers an Award-winning web support service and on-line call logging facilities.

Upgrading to SuccessMaker Enterprise
If you are already using an earlier version of SuccessMaker you can upgrade to SuccessMaker Enterprise and retain your student histories. Whichever courseware solution you are currently using, for example Basic Skills or Mainstream, you can upgrade to the Secondary School Solution with its wide selection of numeracy and literacy courses.

The upgrades are priced at £200 per licence - eLC eligible. In addition, you will require training to get the most from your upgrade and, if you have a network implementation, you will also require installation by an RM Engineer. Please call 08450 700300 to discuss the options available.

SuccessMaker Courseware

SuccessMaker comprises a portfolio of courses to support both

the development and reinforcement of core skills (maths, reading, writing and spelling), and
the extension of learning through more exploratory activities and investigations (maths and reading).

Through appropriate allocation of courses by the teacher/mentor, students of all levels of ability can be supported and extended in their learning and use of maths and English.

SuccessMaker is used successfully in thousands of schools across the UK to meet their particular curriculum and student needs. The range of courseware and the flexibility of licensing and deployment models permits (for example) one school to focus on target groups of lower-achieving students, whilst another school uses it right across Key Stage 3 / S1-2 to develop students of all abilities including the gifted and talented.

Implementation is supported on the school site by RM's highly-rated Educational Consultancy and Training. There are also paper-based guides relating the courses to the UK curricula and, within the software, key course reports indicate National Curriculum / Scottish 5-14 levels achieved by each student.

System Requirements

The latest version - SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.3 - is compatible with Windows Server 2003 and is available as a free of charge software update to existing SuccessMaker Enterprise customers or as a chargeable upgrade to customers of previous versions of SuccessMaker. SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.3 incorporates a new version of the underlying database and functionality enhancements to the management system, including:

Modified user management (Windows Explorer -type tree structure).
Improved functionality for managing students and groups.
Facility to save report parameters for re-use when next running that report.
Re-introduction of individualised worksheets for Maths Concepts & Skills (MCS) & Reader's Workshop (RW) courses. NB these are in exactly the same format as SuccessMaker V5.11.
