Educational Benefits

Use RM Colour Magic 3 to meet the following curriculum requirements (guidance only):
Designed for ages: 4-11 years

National Curriculum 2000 (England)
Art and Design Key Stage 1

  • Investigate the possibilities of a range of materials and processes (2a).
  • Try out tools and techniques and apply these to materials and processes, including drawing (2b).

Art and Design Key Stage 2

  • Record from experience and imagination, to select and record from first hand observation and to explore ideas for different purposes (1a).

Mathematics Key Stage 1

  • Recognise simple spatial patterns and relationships and make predictions about them (Ma3-1e).
  • Recognise reflective symmetry in familiar 2-D shapes and patterns (Ma3-2d).
  • Recognise right angles (Ma3-3c).

Mathematics Key Stage 2

  • Transform objects in a practical situation; transform images using ICT; visualise and predict the position of a shape following a rotation, reflection or translation (Ma3-3b).

Science Key Stage 2

  • Use a wide range of methods, including diagrams, to communicate data in an appropriate and systematic manner (sc1-2f).
