Product Overview
RM Colour Magic 3.1 is the new version of this much loved graphics and painting program. It is now compatible with Windows Vista and Community Connect 4 networks.
Developed with the user in mind, Colour Magic 3 combines both creativity and versatility. With a range of drawing and special effect tools and a bank containing hundreds of curriculum relevant images, your pupils can really let their imagination run riot! This program also includes a number of key features that help meet teaching requirements in the numeracy strategy making it an ideal cross curriculum resource.

Educational Benefits
Use RM Colour Magic 3 to meet the following curriculum requirements (guidance only):

National Curriculum 2000 (England)
Art and Design Key Stage 1
- Investigate the possibilities of a range of materials and processes (2a).
- Try out tools and techniques and apply these to materials and processes, including drawing (2b).
Art and Design Key Stage 2
- Record from experience and imagination, to select and record from first hand observation and to explore ideas for different purposes (1a).
Mathematics Key Stage 1
- Recognise simple spatial patterns and relationships and make predictions about them (Ma3-1e).
- Recognise reflective symmetry in familiar 2-D shapes and patterns (Ma3-2d).
- Recognise right angles (Ma3-3c).
Mathematics Key Stage 2
- Transform objects in a practical situation; transform images using ICT; visualise and predict the position of a shape following a rotation, reflection or translation (Ma3-3b).
Science Key Stage 2
- Use a wide range of methods, including diagrams, to communicate data in an appropriate and systematic manner (sc1-2f).

Use RM Colour Magic 3 to teach the ICT, and Art and Design skills required as part of the curricula, including how to:
- Use a computer graphics package to create a picture.
- Select the most appropriate tools for their work.
- Develop an image, modify and correct their work as they go.
- Use the flood fill tool to create highlights of colour.
- Select and use the straight line, geometric shapes and flood fill tools.
- Select and use the spray tool.
- Select and use different techniques to communicate ideas through pictures.
- Use stamps and/or the copy tool.
- Alter the size of the brush tool.
- Select areas, copy and resize them.
- Use a range of visual effects, such as reflection and symmetry.
- Recognise where a shape will be after two translations.
