RM Starting Graph 2 has been developed with the user in mind, and is ideal for developing initial numeracy and data handling skills with tables and graphs. There are options to build graphs, using pictograms, bar, line or pie charts. You can also create a report sheet with questions to help pupils analyse their data. The program can be easily integrated across the curriculum and used in a variety of subjects such as Maths and Science. |

Graphs can be used to handle and present information in maths, geography and science. RM Starting Graph 2 complements the maths curricula in several areas related to numbers and organising data. In addition the program can be used to support teaching across the curriculum e.g.
- Collect information about the class as part of the 5-14 Scottish guidelines for Maths (Information handling), strands: collect, organise, display and interpret (Levels A-B).
- Present scientific information appropriately in a number of ways, through diagrams, drawings, tables and charts as part of Communication in Science Key Stage 1 (2.2, 2.3 and 2.5). Programme of Study for Scientific enquiry, National Curriculum in Wales.
- Collect data on land use in the local village and ask pupils to present their information using ICT e.g. in databases, as simple graphs, as simple pie charts, to help complement geography teaching - QCA Geography (Unit 6 - Investigating our local area), England.

- Ability to control printing with the "Print Once" function. This will disable the print button, for a chosen time period, after printing once. This should help you save paper.
- Supports the use of various graph types, including pictograms, tick and block graphs and, bar, line and pie charts.
- Ability to scale a pictogram to demonstrate that a picture can represent a value other than a whole.
- Facility to create a report sheet with up to six questions to help pupils analyse data.
