Under current legislation there is a requirement for schools to make 'reasonable adjustments' to ensure that learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities are not put at a substantial disadvantage in using resources, including ICT.
To this end, RM has created a statement on accessibility to provide guidance on how Easiteach® Maths Problem Solving has been designed to be more accessible:
§ The software has passed tests using a range of accessibility tools, including SAW (on-screen keyboard), Windows key settings (StickyKeys, Filterkeys and Togglekeys) and Windows mouse settings.
§ Screens have consistent, uncluttered layouts with buttons and controls in fixed positions.
§ There is no time dependency for controls.
§ No critical information is communicated through colour alone.
§ All text can be copied in Edit mode.
§ No screen-flickering is present.
§ Colour palette ensures adequate contrast between background and foreground.
