What is "RM Package Blueprint"?
RM Package Blueprint is a utility which will enable you to easily create application packages (MSIs) for your Community Connect 3™ network. RM Package Blueprint files will be created for a range of software titles - these files combine with the original software to produce a package which has been tested by RM to work on Community Connect 3. RM Package Blueprint files are available as part of your RM Support Contract.

How is this different from Curriculum Choice?
Curriculum Choice (educational) and application software packs contain full MSIs and will continue to be the easiest way to install software on your network.  However an MSI contains the original software and so RM need to sign commercial agreements with the publishers of the original software. This can often be a time consuming process and sometimes software publishers do not want RM to distribute Curriculum Choice packs for their software. By not including the original software, RM Package Blueprint files do not have these legal restrictions.  This means that we can offer a range of software under RM Package Blueprint that would never be available under Curriculum Choice.

How do I get a RM Package Blueprint file?
Access to RM Package Blueprint files is included as part of your Community Connect 3 Entry Level, Network, Enhanced or Enterprise support contract and can be downloaded from our Support Site. You will also need to obtain a copy of the original software, this can be either a download or on physical media.  Please check the site regularly as we will be adding new titles all the time.
