Easiteach® Literacy provides a set of tools that support the teaching of literacy at word, sentence and text level in a whole-class or group teaching environment with Primary pupils. |

Easiteach Literacy is made up of two elements:
Easiteach Literacy Tools - a simple to use, interactive teaching tool bar for whole-class teaching. Many of the tools are also useful on desktop computers and can help with the preparation of literacy teaching materials.
Easiteach Literacy Content Pack is for Primary schools and contains a collection of ready-made activities, simulations, models and resources, matching curriculum topics from the National Curriculum and the 5-14 Guidelines (for 5-11 year olds) that you can use in your lessons. These resources are designed to help save teachers' time in lesson preparation.
Educational Benefits
Easiteach Literacy can be used on any whole-class-teaching technology, such as interactive whiteboards (from any supplier), on large screen monitors or plasma displays and also with remote graphics Tablets and Tablet PCs. It can also be used on desktop PCs. This enables schools and LEAs to standardise on their choice of whole-class-teaching software in order to minimise the number of learning curves faced by teachers and also to enable the sharing of pre-prepared resources.

Easiteach Literacy requires:
- Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows® Vista
- 128MB RAM on Windows® XP, 512 MB RAM on Windows® Vista
- 400MHz processor on Windows® XP, 800MHz processor on Windows® Vista
- 300MB hard disk space for the tools
- 125MB additional hard disk space for the Easiteach Content Pack
Recommended specification:
- Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows® Vista
- 256MB RAM on Windows® XP, 1GB RAM on Windows® Vista
- 1GHz processor
- 300MB hard disk space for the tools
- 125MB additional hard disk space for Content Pack
NB: CC3 customers
You will require 600MB of disk space on your CC3 server to install Easiteach Tools and an additional 120MB of disk space on your CC3 server to install the Literacy Content pack.
