CC3 to CC4: time to change
Still using CC3? It's time to think about CC4…
Installing a whole-school IT network is not something you do every day, and it may seem like only yesterday that you installed your CC3 network. But technology moves on as quickly as Year 7s become Year 11s.Your CC3 network is based on these Microsoft operating systems; Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional. With Microsoft support for these systems moving to end of life it's really time to change. CC4 can help you get there.
Also if you are considering any of the following, then CC4 can support you all the way:
- Increasing your number of mobile devices or even implementing a 1 to 1, 1 to many or a bring your own device scheme
- Enabling pupils to access their schools resources at home to support both formal and informal learning
- Looking at improving the performance and efficiency of your network or even considering virtualisation
Stepping up to CC4 is easy and with RM's expertise you can even get it done in term time. The good news is that you won't have to start from scratch as a lot of what you have is transferrable.
There are a number of options available when upgrading including our CC4 TEN solution, which enables you to co-exist networks and move over gradually. This can make the installation a lot quicker and cheaper and means that it can be done during term time.
Plus you can also spread the cost of moving or upgrading your network, and protect yourself against future changes in technology, with the CC4 subscription service.
