Ideal for primary schools
New, exciting and informative internet content is developed
every day! As teachers and learners continue to use it to enrich lessons and
class work, you need an internet service that can support this. RM ADSL will do
just that! We've been providing reliable and secure internet connections for 15
years, making us the leader in Internet services for education.
What is it? ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a high-speed
Internet service, provided over a standard BT telephone line. It works by
splitting the signal on the line between voice and data. This means you can
continue making voice calls whilst using the Internet and because it's on an
existing BT line, there are no added infrastructure costs!
What benefits does ADSL offer?
Primary We offer an all-in one solution for schools that want a
cost effective service with an appropriate bandwidth solution. If you're
looking to use ADSL as your primary form of connectivity, we also have your
future in mind, which is why RM ADSL connections come with a free upgrade
service*. When your local telecoms exchange or cabinet is upgraded, we'll
upgrade you for free, giving you access to the latest Internet technology as
soon as it's available!
Secondary ADSL is a great option if you're looking for an interim
solution before the introduction of a fibre optic connection. If you already
use a fibre connection or other leased line technology, RM ADSL can offer peace
of mind as a backup service, should your main line go down.

professional service right down to the hardware.

usage and download policy. This means you can focus on using the internet for
what matters, rather than worrying about how much data you've downloaded.
No contention. Contention is the ratio to which available bandwidth is
shared between users. For example, if the broadband service is contended at
20:1, it means that you share your bandwidth connection with up to 19 other
users. We don't add contention to our network, so there is no sharing of
bandwidth across the service. This means you're guaranteed to get full access
to the full capacity of your connection!
accredited SafetyNet Plus filtering is included as standard, as well as IWF
(Internet Watch Foundation) filtering. Together they protect your users from
potentially offensive and illegal material and provide peace of mind when
surfing the Internet. Because we know all schools are different, we've designed

connection to meet your specific needs.
