Mark Cook
Chief Executive Officer
Mark leads the business with a focus on achieving our strategy and creating real impact for learners, while delivering for all our stakeholders. A qualified accountant, he began his career in finance before moving into consulting, where he ran major transformation and systems programmes. Since then, he has held CEO roles in global technology and digital businesses, steering them through growth, change and innovation.
Simon Goodwin
Chief Financial Officer
Simon sets our financial strategy and controls, making sure we run a business that’s both commercially strong and true to our values. He and his team support sustainable growth through clear financial vision, robust processes and effective controls, as we work to make education fairer and more accessible worldwide. A Chartered Management Accountant, he brings 16 years of financial leadership, including several CFO roles across diverse sectors.
Dr Gráinne Watson
Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Gráinne ensures our business runs smoothly, with the right technology and processes in place to operate efficiently and sustainably, while delivering on our strategy. She also serves as CEO of our Assessment division. A seasoned technology and transformation expert, she drives our operations to focus on the learner experience, delivering operational excellence that ensures reliable, accessible and secure customer services.
Ian Mackinnon
CEO, RM Technology and TTS
As CEO of our two primarily school facing divisions, Ian is responsible for ensuring we deliver the best services to this group - from accelerating international growth for our learning resources, to providing the latest IT to help schools create better, more inclusive learning environments. He is an internationally experienced Chief Executive, with a strong track record in business development and building sales and supply channels beyond the UK.
Sarah Fawsitt
Chief People Officer
Sarah leads our people function, working across the organisation to foster a culture where people can perform at their best and continue to develop their careers. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Sarah has extensive international experience in culture, organisational design, and transformation. She plays a key role in how we evolve and deliver our strategy.
Daniel Fattal
Director of Legal and Company Secretary
Daniel oversees our company’s governance and compliance with legislation, ensuring we operate with transparency and integrity. He plays a key role in holding ourselves, as a Plc, to high standards of governance. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Daniel brings over 25 years’ experience working with listed companies, complex transactions and turnaround scenarios. Daniel also heads our investor relations.
Claire Matthews
Communications Director
Claire leads our internal and external communications, making sure all our stakeholders understand where we are heading, why it matters and that they feel part of the journey. She tells the story of how our growth drives greater impact and creates better educational outcomes. A trusted advisor to CEOs, she is experienced in shaping reputations and driving meaningful engagement through clear communication.
