(ESG)

Every day, in everything we do at RM, we’re shaping the future of learning, qualification, and achievement.

We believe learning and qualifications should be accessible to everyone. Because when the experience works for more people, the future gets better for all of us.

Fairness

Equal access for every learner and candidate, regardless of background, geography, or age. We remove barriers so everyone has a fair, secure path to achieve their potential.

Effectiveness

Brilliant experiences that make learning and assessment engaging – whether you’re in the classroom, taking a government regulated test, or earning a professional qualification.

Recognition

Assessments that are adaptable, reliable, and relevant – ensuring every learner and candidate is recognised accurately for what they know and can do.

Our ESG commitments

ESG is part of everything we do, including the code we write, the products we launch and the partners we choose. You can read about our 2026 commitments in our e-book.

Our social purpose in action

School kit distribution programme

Continuing our long-standing tradition of community outreach, our India team recently wrapped up the latest school kit distribution initiative ahead of the new term. Employees volunteered to visit local classrooms, directly providing young learners with practical educational packs designed to kickstart their academic year.

Our India team actively champions nine adopted government schools in Trivandrum to ensure equitable opportunities for every child. For this latest rollout, volunteers supplied tailored resource kits to 316 primary students across GLPS Pallippuram, GLPS Nannatukavu, and GLPS Karichara. Local educators highlighted how much they appreciated the essential items; ranging from study materials and backpacks to lunchboxes and umbrellas; which ease the daily challenges children face both at school and on their commute. Seeing our global teams actively deliver on our promise to foster inclusive, supportive, and fair learning environments for children everywhere is incredibly inspiring.

Annual volunteering programme

Back by popular demand, colleagues have delivered the 2025 SEND volunteering programme. Teams from across the business nominated local primary schools and spent time in classrooms, showing how the most in-demand SEND focused resources, from our former TTS business (sold in September 2026), work in real lessons.

Teachers and SEND coordinators told us they really valued the live demonstrations and the chance to trial new resources tailored to their learners. Many have already started using the products gifted in their teaching It is great to see our people bringing our commitment to life to make learning more accessible, inclusive and fair, for every learner, everywhere.

I just wanted to take a moment to reach out with my thanks for the recent visit to our organisation. We are incredibly grateful for Sam Walby's visit and support, as a mainstream school that has neurodiverse children, these products have made a huge impact for all students. Thank you! Our young people will benefit so much from the opportunities and enrichment.

Building a sustainable future together

RM Technology have officially achieved their ISO 14001 certification, marking a major milestone in our commitment to environmental sustainability this year. This standard validates that RM Technology has implemented a rigorous Environmental Management System (EMS) and offers assurance to our partners that we are actively minimising the environmental impact of digital learning – from sustainable data hosting practices to the reduction of electronic waste. By aligning with us, MATs and schools can more confidently meet their own Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets, knowing that their digital infrastructure supports a more sustainable future for the next generation of learners.

Meet Alfie, RM’s champion for HP’s Brighter Futures scheme.

The scheme helps schools upgrade to new devices while also making a positive impact on the environment. When schools purchase new HP equipment, they can trade in old devices. These are either recycled for parts, refurbished, or donated to schools in developing countries. Schools also receive cashback rewards in return. As champion Alfie is extremely proud RM have been awarded HP Partner of the Year. This award specifically recognises RM's ability to scale the Brighter Future's program across large Multi Academy Trusts. The partnership has successfully addressed the 'triple' challenge facing the education sector: shrinking budgets, aging hardware, and sustainability targets from the DfE. RM has enabled schools to secure up to £150 per device in cashback, significantly higher than standard trade-in values. One of RM's standout successes involved supporting a trust to renew its hardware across five schools, saving them nearly £12k in the first six months through trade-in rewards. For Alfie, the best part is hearing stories like these from schools about how they’ve used their rewards

Gender pay equity

RM has equal pay for equal work. Our gender pay gap slightly favours women in the UK. Read our latest gender pay report.
