RM Voice includes a suite of education-focused features, including options to handle events such as broadcasting whole-school emergency messages, scenarios involving children with care plans and updating parents/carers with temporary messages.

Cloud-hosted telephony avoids the need for any additional on-premise hardware – it just needs a VoIP handset or alternative device in each location you wish to be able to make and receive calls. Optional call packages

UK PSTN Switch-off

BT Openreach announced that the traditional telephone system in the UK will be switched off at the end of January 2027 (extended from December 2025). Indeed, since the start of September 2023, buying or adding to existing analogue services has no longer been possible.

All schools will need to replace their existing analogue public switch telephone network (PSTN) telephony systems with a digital one that routes calls over the internet.

If your school still uses a traditional telephone system we advise you to start planning which alternative services you will migrate to.
