International contracts using Assessment Master, leading the transition from traditional paper exams to fully digital systems.
RM, the global EdTech, digital learning and assessment solutions provider, has today announced that it has signed two international contracts with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (“ICAG”) and the St Gallen University of Teacher Education (“Pädagogische Hochschule St. Gallen”) in Switzerland and its partner institutions.
Both ICAG and the St Gallen University of Teacher Education have signed contracts with RM for the use of its leading end-to-end digital assessment platform, Assessment Master.
These contracts demonstrate how the digital transition in assessment is both global and multi-disciplinary, as professional awarding bodies, educational institutions and regulators look to provide learners with enhanced, modern assessment experiences. RM’s Global Accreditation Platform is uniquely positioned to enable this shift towards on-screen examinations and sits at the core of its growth strategy.
ICAG’s new contract with RM follows its work with the Pan African Federation of Accountant sand the International Federation of Accountants, funded by Global Fund and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance to support its digital transformation. This started with a consultancy period involving RM and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. ICAG will now work with RM to digitise its 35,000 assessments a year and move away from centre-based exams, allowing candidates to sit exams at home. RM’s assessment platform and remote proctoring technology will allow ICAG to seamlessly enable this transformation, while ensuring test security.
The St Gallen University of Teacher Education and its partner institution University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW School of Education will work with RM to integrate its Assessment Master product for its Professional Language Examination for Teachers (PROF-L), following a successful 12-month pilot. Together with its partner institutions, the St Gallen University of Teacher Education conducts up to 2,000 of these tests a year, and the shift to digital assessment will significantly speed up result delivery while also reducing overheads and streamlining operations for the St Gallen University of Teacher Education. RM, the St Gallen University of Teacher Education and its partner institutions will also work together to explore new, innovative approaches to assessments such as adaptive testing to enhance the learner experience and improve the quality of assessment procedures.
Mark Cook, CEO of RM, commented:
“These new customer contracts demonstrate that institutions around the world recognise that the future of assessment is digital, and we are de-lighted to be working with two more world-class institutions on this journey. Across both educational institutions and professional bodies, our end-to-end digital assessment systems pro-vide learners and assessors alike with a secure, modern and convenient experience as these bodies undertake their digital transformations.”
Osei Adjaye-Gyamfi, the Technical Director at ICAG, commented:
“We’re delighted to be working with RM to provide a more modern and secure experience through the transition to digital assessment. RM’s proven platform, speed of delivery and expertise are all key components of our work together and will allow us to give our members more flexibility when it comes to sitting exams.”
Prof. Wilfrid Kuster, St Gallen University of Teacher Education, and Prof. Dr. Mirjam Egli Cuenat, FHNW School of Education, commented:
“Our key priority is to improve learner experience, which is why we’re extremely pleased to be working with RM as we undertake the transition to Assessment Master. This partnership will enable us to give our students quicker results and an up-to-date candidate experience, as well as providing the opportunity to innovate further in the future.”
