RM plc and CCEA sign a 2-year contract extension for e-marking

RM announces it has extended its existing contract to provide e-marking to The Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) until June 2027. The extension builds on the partnership between RM and CCEA which commenced in 2013. Under the new contract, CCEA will continue to utilise RM Assessor, RM’s online marking tool to mark exams digitally.

CCEA is a UK educational body, bringing together the three areas of curriculum, examinations and assessment. During the period 2023–24 alone, CCEA issued around 230,000 grades for GCSE, GCE and other qualifications, utilising RM Assessor to streamline the marking process.

Dr Gráinne Watson, Chief Operating Officer of RM, commented:

Our work with CCEA has demonstrated the significant benefits of on-screen marking for both awarding bodies and learners. We are delighted to continue with our partnership, enhancing efficiency and security while driving improvements in marking quality and equity.

Ronan Carberry, Business Manager, Examinations Assessment and Administration at CCEA, said

Partnering with RM, we are continuing to explore and share thinking around best practice for examinations and assessment, completely transforming how we conduct business.
