Saving schools millions

During the BETT opening speech yesterday, the Secretary of State for Education asked schools not to neglect shrewd and wise investment in technology, despite the removal of ring-fenced funding and austere times. Easier said than done.

The good news is schools are discovering how to save significant funds by taking part in the 'Budget Challenge' at BETT this week. Schools provide a few details and we set the wheels in motion, put our computing power to good use and in an instant, a personalised savings statement is calculated for that school. Schools taking part are seeing up to £100,000 of savings on items like energy bills, printing costs, broadband connections and MIS.

Just since yesterday, we've identified over £3 million of potential savings, and this looks set to rise further as word-of-mouth spreads and we see more and more schools taking part.

If you're down at BETT this week, see how much you could save - take part in the RM Budget Challenge and receive your very own personalised savings statement*. Visit the RM Education stand (C60 & D60).
