Windows Server Servicing

Last month, SchoolBoard joined the RM Unify App Library and since then we’ve seen lots of interest in this tool which allows schools to really harness the power of Office 365. We caught up with Andy Brookes, Senior Account Manager at Telford and Wrekin Council, about why they chose SchoolBoard and how they use the software now.

Name: Andy Brookes

Job title: Senior Account Manager

Company: Telford and Wrekin Council

Why did you choose Schoolboard?

We had a demonstration at Tablet Academy’s office and liked the way it integrated with O365 making the experience for teachers looking to share and collaborate with students / classes’ easier and more intuitive. The product was originally designed for the Danish market with integration to one single MIS system, we asked Schoolboard to develop for the UK market by offering integration with numerous MIS systems. Lars from Schoolboard quickly came back to us with full integration to our numerous MIS systems by working with RM directly. We have found SchoolBoard’s development team to be intuitive and responsive to our needs. In essence, the company ethos is great, the product is well designed and functional, taking the headache out of school / campus wide implementation and adoption of O365.

How was the installation of SchoolBoard?

Good, we had some initial challenges in the early stages with integration, however Schoolboard have been extremely responsive and supportive during this process.

What difference has SchoolBoard made to your school / job role?

For the schools that use SchoolBoard it’s starting to make a difference. Schools that haven’t used cloud education solutions before will need to acclimatise to a new way of working, this is ongoing for us. We feel there will be longer term benefits as we continue to work with RM and Schoolboard.

Would you recommend SchoolBoard to other schools?

Yes

"RM Unify has been key to unlocking SchoolBoard in the UK. SchoolBoard integrates with RM Unify which means that all schools, classes, teams, students and teachers are automatically created in Microsoft Office 365/SchoolBoard from schools MIS or Active Directory's. Without our great work with RM, SchoolBoard would not be able to give this solution to UK schools."
